She followed her neighbours some were in their nigh robes while others where in sweaters and jumpers. It had rained during the night. The road was wet and it looked partially misty or was that smoke coming from a distance.
At the end of the road, there was a car accident. A brown minivan had crashed into small white car. The impact sent the white car crashing into the oak tree smashing the bonnet and damaging the truck. The minivan only damaged in the front.
A baby could be hard crying in the white car Henry and Paul her neighbours rushed to the car the mother all bruised up by the broken glass but the bay was safe in its little car seat. Mary called the ambulance while Henry and Paul managed to break the side door window and remove the baby. Margret removed her shawl and wrapped the little baby and told Mary she is taking the baby home where it was much warmer.
Paul checked the mothers pulse her heart beat was slow, She had blood all over her face and was in pain, He could not remove her as he did not know how badly injured she was. She held Paul’s hand, turned round to look at him, and closed her eyes. Paul did not let go of her hand.
The driver of the minivan came out of the car and started limping trying to run away from the scene but Liza and Ken managed getting hold of him he smelt of alcohol as he shouted "let me go, let me go,"
The ambulance and fire truck arrived. Paul removed his hand when the woman woke up and started shaking her head saying do not let me go but Paul assured her that it was okay as the paramedics had arrived.
They managed moving the car away from the oak tree and remove the woman from the white car, She was lucky to be alive she had a fractured collar bone and glass cuts on her face. The police car arrived and the minivan driver handcuffed and saying he did nothing wrong but he knew he had dozed of behind the wheel and did not see the red light to stop leading him to crush into the white car.
